Mahwah, New Jersey

Mahwah boasts the most open space in any municipality in Bergen County, a great deal of it in the shadows of the Ramapo Mountains and on the shores of the Ramapo and Mahwah Rivers. Mahwah hosts almost 5,000 acres of State and County Parks and Reservations. Within the town, residents can ski, fish, golf, swim and indulge in the best the outdoors has to offer.

Many young families have discovered Mahwah and made it their home. It's hard to believe in the middle of the greenery that you are just 30 miles from Manhattan. A town of 25,000 people, Mahwah real estate varies from town houses and condominiums to simple luxury. Four elementary schools and a middle school prepare students for life at Mahwah High. Mahwah is also home to Ramapo College, a highly-rated public arts school.

An active community powers Mahwah. Townwide events are held year-round and many volunteer groups and clubs are at the heart of the town's 'feel-good' approach to life in New Jersey.
