Washington Township, New Jersey

With a population of just under 9,000, the Township of Washington is a prime location to invest in real estate. Like so many towns across Bergen County, Washington Township is a firm base on which to build a family home with young children. The police force is rightly proud that its town is one of the safest in the country.

With so much of the town accessible on foot, Washington Township boasts a many recreation, shopping and community facilities within its borders. The Westwood Regional School District serves Washington Township. Residents attend one of four elementary schools (Berkeley Avenue Elementary School, Jessie F. George Elementary School, Ketler Elementary School and Washington Elementary School) before moving on to Brookside Upper Elementary School, and finally Westwood High School.
