Meet Terrie O'Connor

Terrie O'Connor founded Terrie O'Connor Realtors in 1991, following a successful career of real estate sales, marketing and management. Terrie O'Connor began her real estate career in 1981. She was a consistent achiever in the New Jersey Association of Realtors'
Million Dollar Sales Club. She worked extensively with corporate transferees as well as marketing residential properties and new construction. She served as Vice President and manager of a major Real Estate company from 1984 until 1990. Her
office was one of the company's most productive. Additionally, she initiated management workshops and developed the Commercial Division.
Terrie has been a Director of the West Bergen Board of
Realtors and an alternate board member for the New Jersey Multiple Listing Service.
She was active on the Professional Standards Committee and Political Action Chairman of
the West Bergen Board of Realtors. Terrie O'Connor is a past Chairman of the Board
of the Builders Association of Northern New Jersey and was the first woman President in
1994 and 1995. She has chaired the New Jersey Builders Association's Sales and
Marketing Council and their statewide Sales and Marketing Awards (SAM Awards) in Atlantic
City. She is a State Director and has served as Chairman of both the Environmental
and Legislative Committees. Terrie O'Connor has also served on the Bergen County
Executive Task Force on Affordable Housing. She is a member of Tri State Relocation
Council and ERC.
Additionally, Terrie is a Director of the American Lung Association of New Jersey and is a member of the
Steering Committee for Habitat for Humanity Women Raise the Roof, building homes in
Paterson, New Jersey.
Early in her career, Terrie O'Connor's personal interest in the total building process lead her into raw land
sales, development, and marketing of new construction. Her dual exposure from both
the developing and the marketing side of a property has given Terrie a broad perspective
on real estate. She has worked extensively with engineers, enviromentalists,
bankers, attorneys and planning boards. She has become very well versed in the
intricacies of the approval process at the local, county and state levels. She is
knowledgeable about environmental regulation and pending changes in legislation and how
they affect the climate for development as well as home sales in New Jersey.
As both the daughter and then wife of U.S. Naval
officers, Terrie O'Connor lived in such places as Malta, Hawaii, Panama, and England as
well as a dozen places in the United States from the East Coast to the West. Terrie
is a long time resident of Upper Saddle River with her husband Tom and their four
children.
