Steven Schiavello of Terrie O’Connor Realtors Saddle River Group was recently appointed to the position of Lieutenant of the Saddle River Fire Department.
Steven is well equipped to take on this position as he has completed many courses at the Bergn County Fire Academy in Mahwah, New Jersey and is a firm believer in continuing his education in this field to keep him well prepared for this honor he received. Steven also has multiple certifications in engine operations, search and rescue, and incident command just to name a few. He is a certified First Responder and is constantly seen at many of the emergency calls in Saddle River. “My interest in our town’s fire department began during my high school years when searching for a community service project,” said Steven. “I joined when I was 16 and realized soon that participating and serving was a passion of mine, plus Saddle River is my hometown and these are my friends and neighbors whom I care about and I want them to be safe.”
While Steven lives in Saddle River and serves on the borough’s fire department, he also works in town as a sales associate of Terrie O’Connor Realtors.
