As per the National Association of Realtors, by earning this designation, Marianne has “demonstrated the necessary knowledge and expertise to counsel clients 50+ through major financial and lifestyle transitions in relocating, refinancing, or selling the family home.”
The main focus in earning this designation is to understand how life stages impact real estate choices. With the largest generational group comprised of Baby Boomers age 50-68, they are faced with their own housing issues as well as those of their aging parents and growing children. Whether working as a buyer’s agent or seller’s agent, Marianne has found the knowledge obtained from the SRES® designation necessary to succeed in the real estate industry in today’s market. Marianne has listed and sold multiple homes involved in estates where her sensitivity and guidance for the family is of utmost importance.
The SRES® designation qualifies real estate agents to assist seniors in making wise decisions as to age restricted housing, reverse mortgages, capital gains, investment properties and the selling of their own home. Working with appraisers, mortgage lenders, home inspectors, attorneys and primarily her client’s needs and desires have led to many successful transactions.
